elcome to the West Virginia Triker’s web site.  My name is Roger Casey, and my wife and co-pilot’s name is Bertie.  West Virginia is one of five states that make up the Appalachian Region of Brothers of the Third Wheel, or BTW as it is commonly referred to.  BTW is a national organization of people of the same mind set.  Have fun safely and do it on wheels.  There are even chapters outside the United States.  BTW holds and sponsors various events but the biggest fling of all is the annual Trike Week in Forsythe, Missouri.  Bertie and I are the interim directors for West Virginia.  There were no current chapters when we took over, so we set out to organize some.  The first chapter (charter applied for) will be in the Huntington area.  We are working on more.  Bertie and I have been happily married for 40 years now.  Gosh, did I say forty………yeah I did.  So I’m 62 years old and she is………..uh…..37.  We have always had a bike of one type or another.   Heck, we even dated on a bike.  Now we have a Gold Wing Trike and love it.

But then again, I never met a motorcycle I didn’t like.  You don’t have to own a trike to belong to BTW.  Or a motorcycle.  Maybe you’re thinking about buying or building one.  Whatever, go to the BTW home page, download an application, fill it out and send it in with the required fee.  http://www.btw-trikers.org/uploads/home.php   That’s all there is to it.  Put my member number on it as a referral, and they’ll let you join for $22.00 single member or $30.00 double.  Okay, okay, so that’s the regular fee anyway.  And you’ll get the Triker magazine every two months.  Lots of pictures and tells you what’s going on all over the world but mostly the chapters right here in America.

Chapters are organized to promote fellowship with those of like mind.  To go on rides or to get together for picnics, eat outs, etc.  I especially like the eat’in part.  Poker runs, dice runs, treasure hunts, all help to raise a little money for the chapter to operate on, or to donate to a charity.  There are no chapter dues.  You can go to any chapter meeting or event and be welcome.  Participate as much or as little as you want.  Sometimes two or more chapters will get together and participate in an event together.  All events should be good enough to bring your children or grandchildren to.  We’re family oriented and one big family.  Come to a chapter meeting and check us out, we will try to make you welcome.  Feel free to contact me or one of the chapter officers, or BTW headquarters for additional info.    Jim and Lady (headquarters) will do all in their power to help you.

See ya!
